Highgate is looking for two interns to help execute and deliver strategies and campaigns for clients. Our services include dispute resolution, CEO advisory, sovereign counsel, private client and philanthropic advisory. 

 

This role is ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic person looking to build their career in the fast-changing world of dispute resolution, geopolitical consultancy and communications. 

 

As part of Highgate’s Internship Programme, you will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a high-energy work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. In addition, every intern has a dedicated mentor to support and guide them. Our interns are important members of the team, have full access to the senior team, are involved in company meetings and support with business development. 

 

Key tasks: 

  • Researching and compiling concise briefing notes in the areas of politics, business and international affairs. 
  • Drafting content including blogs, briefings, social media posts, newsletters etc. 
  • Researching and analysing media articles for clients, including daily media monitoring. 
  • Compiling stakeholder contact lists, including media, and writing pitches to journalists. 
  • Attending meetings with the team and clients, writing up summary notes. 
  • Support in drafting and brainstorming communications and business strategies. 
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Completed an undergraduate degree or demonstrate at least one year of professional experience in a related field. 
  • Excellent written skills, the ability to think critically and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to research and synthesise information within short time frames. 
  • Excellent organisational skills, including managing and prioritising multiple tasks. 
  • Strong work ethic, a desire to learn and the ability to work in teams and independently. 
  • A keen interest and a good understanding of politics and international affairs. 
  • Foreign language skills are desirable but not essential. 
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Employment is subject to successful reference checks.

Internship details 

Start Date: 2 March 2026 

Position: This is a full-time internship for six months. c. 40 hours per week with additional hours as required.

Prospective interns must be available to begin from the start date. 

Process: The selection process includes two interviews and a written test. Further details will be provided ahead of time.
