Summer Internship 2026 - Energy and Infrastructure

The Programme

 

Our Summer 2026 Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build essential business acumen, and gain insight into our departments. For eight to twelve weeks, you will join the Energy and Infrastructure Department, where you will develop your skills under the mentorship of business leaders and experienced colleagues.

 

Your role will involve meaningful tasks with clear objectives and goals, providing real responsibility from day one. Beyond your team, you will connect widely across the organisation through networking events with senior leaders and colleagues, training sessions, and a local  charity initiative, all while building strong connections within the summer internship cohort. 

 

By the end of the summer internship programme, you will have gained invaluable insights and particular skills to set you up for a successful career after graduation. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Assist transaction team leaders in the execution of project finance transactions, including financial modelling as well as discrete elements of the documentation and due diligence processes. Work harmoniously in a co-ordinated way with other team members;

·         Support directors in their general sector-oriented business origination activities, including participation in marketing efforts (e.g. pitches and presentations) and carrying out sector-specific research, as well as other commercial or administrative duties as assigned;

·         Ensure that Infrastructure client results (NBI, RWA, CWA) are properly reported through the various internal systems (ClientLive). Assist in budgeting, planning and reporting on Client budgets in various internal systems;

·         Prepare marketing material for presentation to clients;

·         Assist in the preparation of credit applications;

·         Assist in syndication process (e.g. drafting of info memo, handling of Q&A with syndicate banks);

·         Assist in populating transactional internal systems e.g. RAROC, transaction rating, Equator Principal grids (under supervision);

·         On an ad hoc basis, assist in managing transactions in portfolio (e.g. waivers, annual reviews).
