The team

Global Corporate Banking Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is focused on relationship management of FIG clients such as banks, insurance companies, asset managers and stock exchange operators, managing the day-to-day relationship as well as origination of new business with specific responsibility for delivering financing, treasury and risk management advice and execution to our clients in Western Europe.

 

Programme Overview

Our Off-Cycle Analyst programme is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of what it is like to work as a full time Corporate Banking analyst. During the internship you will be placed within the Western Europe FIG team, working across a diverse range of FIG subsectors and products.

 

Training and Development

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

 

Responsibilities:

As an off-cycle analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Global Corporate Banking professionals in relationship management, origination, and execution across a diverse set of product areas (including Loan & Bond financing, Trade Finance, and Cash Management)
  • Work on live transactions and assist in the preparation of credit proposals and loan documents for new financing deals and credit renewals
  • Contribute to client pitches including by preparing relationship overviews, credentials and peer analysis
  • Provide support on ad-hoc tasks including KYC, pipeline tracking, company profiles and quarterly business reviews
  • Work closely with Capital Markets, Payment Solutions and Global Markets teams on client coverage and origination
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of our FIG clients, the subsectors in which they operate and how the bank helps support both their growth aspirations and day-to-day banking requirements
  • Gain familiarity with the legal and documentation aspects of various debt instruments

 

Eligibility:

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between April 2026 and July 2027. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer.
  • Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
  • Must be available to join the programme anytime from January until December 2026
  • Applications are accepted from a diverse range of degree disciplines such as the arts and humanities, as well as numerically focused subjects such as economics and mathematics
  • Fluency in English and French is essential
