Location: MediaCityUK, Salford – Hybrid (3 days in the office each week)
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 p.a. (Dependent on experience) + excellent benefits

 

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for numbers and a drive to grow your career? We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic SIS Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting.

 

🧾 About the Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner, you’ll support the production of management accounts and provide ad hoc reporting to the FP&A team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative environment where your contributions truly matter.

 

🔑 Key Responsibilities

As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare monthly actuals vs. budget/forecast reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and nominal ledger journals.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure accurate revenue and cost tracking.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and monthly billing processes.
  • Help prepare rights returns for key suppliers.
  • Provide timely, ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

 

🎯 What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experienced in a similar finance role (preferred).
  • Proficient in Excel (advanced level desirable).
  • Analytical, organised, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A strong communicator and team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and upholding the values of SIS.
