Public Relations Intern (Tech)

Requirements for candidate:

The ideal candidate will have deep personal passion for communications, PR and personal brand building (functional interests) and emerging technologies and future of humanity and understanding of early stage startups (vertical interests). This individual should also have experience reaching out WITH RESULTS to a large number of cold and warm leads and to be an effective communicator. Be prepared for a chaotic, unpredictable, non-linear environment with unconventional tasks and problems. You need to be a self-starter and able to work in a dynamic environment with minimal hand-holding.

 

Please note this is a remote internship position (fixed contract), with no office provided. Company is located off-shore. Team is remote and converges at various conferences for in-person meetings.

Upon successful completion of internship, a full-time position may be offered.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Develop personal brand and PR strategy for the Founder
  • Media and speaking opportunities. Reaching out to existing, and seeking out new, media outlets and events to profile the Founder as thought leader or secure a speaking opportunity.
  • Drafting of documents based on key bulletpoints.
  • Negotiating any commercial deals with the advantage to the founder
  • Other administrative or logistical tasks related to the broader operations of the fund and its projects may be given at any point of time.

 

We need an ability to be mobile and responsive and never say to any task "this is a job for another person". There are no tasks "too unimportant for my level".

 

Qualifications:

  • Network and Charisma
  • Strong communication skills
  • Perfect English is a must. Working/native knowledge of other major global languages is a plus.
  • Experience working with a team in a non-corporate environment. We do NOT have various standard corporate processes in place!
