Sales Intern

The Company

We've built an innovative manufacturing analytics platform to help manufacturers get the best out of their machinery. By giving our customers access to real-time production monitoring data, they can better optimise their shop floor production.

The Role

We're looking for someone who wants experience in a sales role to help manufacturers around the UK understand the benefits of our production monitoring software.

Roles and Responsibilities

Our prospective candidate will spend at least a day a week identifying, developing and then contacting potential manufacturing leads. 

They’ll be using their own laptop and phone, with access to the Company phone number to make calls from. They will have access to the company’s CRM system to create new contacts, log calls and make notes on the potential customers they select.

Everyday work will include identifying new leads, developing knowledge on potential customers, contacting customers and developing documentation on objections, best practices and field knowledge

Identifying new leads

  • Targeted research on prospective customers
  • Pro-active lead generation using all available online information: Linkedin, google, AI
  • Find out everything about the company and the potential contact (operations/production manager)

Developing and contacting company

  • Make contact with the company, engage and navigate gatekeepers
  • Gather information on the company such as number of CNC machines, types of CNC machines and if they are trying to
  • Send personalised emails to either contact’s email, sales@ or preferably get an introduction from the gatekeeper
  • Re-contact weeks later aiming to get through to the contact directly

Handoff

  • Product demonstrations with interested leads can be handed off to the Sales Manager

Documenting the process

  • Objection Handling Playbook: Document common objections specific to real-time CNC analytics (e.g., "We already have a system," "It's too expensive," "My operators won't use it," "Data security concerns").
  • Market Feedback Collection: Log not just "yes/no" but why a prospect was or wasn't interested. This feedback is crucial for refining your product, marketing, and sales strategy.


 Candidates must be available to work in the Sheffield City Centre office at least half of their time
